Parents, it’s time to let your child’s creativity shine! The City of West Monroe is looking for incredible artwork from local artists—including kids—to be displayed at City Hall throughout 2025. This year’s theme? "Artopia"—a chance to imagine and illustrate the perfect world, whether through bold colors, dreamy landscapes, or abstract masterpieces! What's your interpretation of Heaven on Earth?
Plus, this exhibit will celebrate Kiroli Park’s 100th birthday, making it an extra special moment for our community’s young artists to be part of history!
✅ How to Get Your Kids Excited About Their Submission:
1️⃣ Make it an adventure! Take a family trip to Kiroli Park for inspiration. Ask your child, “What would a perfect world look like to you?”
2️⃣ Visit the Masur Museum of Art! Seeing different styles of artwork can spark ideas for their own masterpiece. While you’re there, let them participate in the Masur Museum’s scavenger hunt—a fun way to engage with art while exploring the museum!
3️⃣ Experiment with different styles. Let them explore painting, drawing, or even photography! Any medium is welcome.
4️⃣ Turn it into a mini art challenge. Gather some friends and have an “Artopia” art day—everyone creates their own vision of a dream world!
5️⃣ Talk about the big moment! Their art could be displayed at City Hall for an entire year, plus they’ll get to attend a special opening reception this spring!
6️⃣ Make submission easy. Snap a photo or scan their masterpiece and save it as a PDF to submit.
