Navigating the path from high school to a successful career can feel overwhelming, but there’s an incredible opportunity in our community to help guide the way! The Washington American Job Center is hosting its annual Youth Career Expo on Wednesday, March 19th, at the Monroe Civic Center Arena from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Organized by the Ouachita Workforce Development Board 81, this event is designed to introduce young people to a world of possibilities. Over 1,000 local high school students and nearly 60 businesses and universities will attend, creating a dynamic environment where students can explore potential career paths, connect with professionals, and learn about exciting scholarship opportunities.
Students will have the chance to engage with representatives from different colleges, universities, industries, and career fields, gaining insights into the skills needed for success in today’s job market. A panel of professionals will also be present to educate youth about various occupations and the essential job skills required for those careers.
Not just for students, this event is open to the public, offering valuable resources for anyone in the community seeking employment or career advancement.
Don’t Miss Out!
Encourage your teen to take advantage of this fantastic networking opportunity and begin planning for their future!
